Finally, she dragged herself away from the edge of chaos, a dance she had twirled around for some time. As she sat in silence every vertebrae seemed twisted like a corkscrew, surely it should be perfectly natural to sit still for some minutes without the pain??
Moments fluttered by, the steady flow of waves softening her mind. All the clinging and holding on, the fantasy of being in control, that so recently mesmerised her began to gently recede, merging into the puffs of clouds passing by.
Deeper into her relaxation a wash of light overwhelmed her, floating atop gentle waves of current, allowing herself to be supported. What revelations! This was not a saintly passivity of giving up, nor was she holding onto any story………an energy began to surge through her, nothing supernatural, merely the return of what was always there.
All her concepts, labels and judgements, fuelled by a life time of memories seemed so unreal now, falling further into each moment she became apart of it…..magic was happening!
