Natures healing power is an elixir of many wonders. It's simplicity is it's starkest of remedies; the oscillations of its rhythms more in line with the natural resonances of our bodies. Urban dwellings by contrast are subjected to a cacophany of high frequency's wave forms. Emerging only in the last few hundred years, Homo Sapiens have had little time to adapt. This dissonance adds to the general wear and tear on the psyche leading to exhaustion more quickly than if we were otherwise in a tranquil more "natural" environment. Perhaps thats why in a recent survey Expedia found that 33% of people (worldwide) when asked if they could have only one holiday in the next 12 months responded that it would be a beach vacation. Of the same sample 52% said they would be taking a beach holiday sometime in the next 12 months. The therapeutic value of salt water, the lulling cycle of the waves and the ionized air all seem to make for an appealing tonic for worn out urban dwellers.
